This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected by us and imported directly from Japan and thoroughly tested. Details are provided below.

They measure:
Stone 1: 105 mm (4.13 in) long × 75 mm (2.95 in) wide × 13 mm (0.51 in) tall, and weighs 420 g (14.82 oz / 0.93 lb).
Stone 2: 120 mm (4.72 in) long × 70 mm (2.76 in) wide × 20 mm (0.79 in) tall, and weighs 240 g (8.47 oz / 0.53 lb).

Rare, vintage Nakayama Maruichi 2 piece set. This set comes from a closed down shop's leftover inventory. This stunning set represents some of Nakayama's more unique types, Sen Mai and Namito. #1 is a beautiful Sen Mai with beige colored base and vivid striped patterns which is typical for Sen mai. This is a hard stone which is perfect for razors and Kamisori but can also be used for knives and tools where a fine finish is desired. #2 is a gorgeous Namito with Kiita yellow base color and unique mottled patterns on the face. Either stone can be used for direct razor/Kamisori honing or used as tomo Nagura slurry stones. It is very rare to find these unique strata, especially BNIB Nakayama Maruichi. Collector Grade stones!
