Simpsons Emperor E2 Super Badger Shaving Brush - Ebony Handle

The Simpson Emperor is one of Simpsons most classic models, originally made in ivory but today in a nicely weighted, longer style lathe turned handle. The E2 model is a mid-sized brush with an engraved model name and the signature Simpson logo. The Emperor is a classic and luxurious shaving brush, using only the finest Super Badger hair.

Simpson brushes are hand made in England the using the same methods used when the firm was founded in 1919 by Alexander Simpson. Rich in heritage and and thought by many to be the the maker of the finest shaving brushes available today, they carry on producing traditional shaving brushes in a wider variety of shapes and sizes. Simpsons shaving brushes are available with three types of sterilized and hand sorted badger hair:

Pure Badger - the most abundant and least expensive type of badger hair, good for face lathering, hard soaps and exfoliation
Best Badger - has softer tips and holds more water than pure badger, good for lathering up dense shaving creams, offers a great combination of luxury and value
Super Badger - dense, soft and luxurious, super badger hairs are yet more rare and have tips that are very soft on the skin and offer increased performance when lathering with either creams or soaps
