Yaginoshima is a Tanba Area, Western mine which was known for producing pure, dense, fine stones, especially Asagi and beautiful Suita. These hard Tomo Nagura are excellent for final finishing of straight razors.
When used on most base stones LV 4.5+, these Tomo provide a light, fine slurry which can be worked with water and pressure management to achieve a mirror finish and hair popping edges.
