Kato era Nakayama Kuramaguchi Mizu Asagi with Maruka stamp! Before Hatanaka Whetstone Co was founded, Kato San owned and operated the Nakayama mine. There were various mining shafts and ore pits within the Nakayama mine and the most famous and popular Nakayama of all time are Kuramaguchi Maruka. Kuramaguchi is the name of the mining shaft/ore pit where the Kuramaguchi were mined from. Kuramaguchi Nakayama contain microscopic Su holes similar to Suita stones, which occured in all layers with the Kuramaguchi shaft. Kuramaguchi Nakayama are known for their increased cutting speed and detailed and unique Kasumi finish. Harder Shiki Tomae Mizu Asagi Maruka.
